Rhinoceros

I have purchased this training DVD and went through each chapter, movie by movie. This is a good DVD but we need more detailed and practical tutorials for Rhino. I’m going to switch to Alias Studio Tools because the lack of detailed and step by step tutorial for Rhino. The available tutorials are truly weak. And not very interested, we need some high quality model to build with Rhino from scratch, but such tutorials is not available anywhere.

I just finished making my way through this large collection of tutorials and was very impressed with it. I have done numerous book and video tutorials for a variety of 3D modeling programs over the past ten years. I found this collection to be one of the best. Having relatively short videos (1-3 minutes average) makes it easy to focus on each task being learned. The lack of sound may bother some users but it did not get in my way. I estimate it took me about 40 hours do the entire CD and now feel confident that I have a firm foundation from which to build my Rhino skills. Previously, I had worked my way through the tutorials in the Users's Guide and one of the two PDF training manuals included with the program. They were helpful but it was Visual Tips CD that got me over the hump in learning this mid-range but very full-featured 3D modeling program and using it effectively. Finally, I hope to see a Flamingo 2 training CD in the near future.

I am new with Rhino 4.0. There are too many icons and commands inside this program. This DVD took me by the hand and showed me how to use each one of them. If you are new or want to learn the new commands inside Rhino CAD 4.0, this DVD helps a lot. Paula

This DVD saved us a lot of time going from Rhino 3.0 to 4.0. Almost all the new commands are there. Runs great on Win 2000 and XP. Hope to see a new Visual Tips for Flamingo 2.0 when it comes out. Carlos
