SAT Import for Rhino

SAT Import for Rhino is an ACIS SAT file import plug-in for Rhinoceros® 3.0 and 4.0. This plug-in gives Rhino the ability to import 3d solid models from SAT files.

Rhino has the ability to export solid geometry to ACIS SAT files. However it cannot import geometry from SAT files. SAT Import for Rhino removes this limitation by giving Rhino the ability to read ACIS SAT files and import the geometry as solid objects in the active Rhino document.

SAT Import for Rhino is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into the Rhino environment. If automatic loading fails there are manual loading instructions in the ReadMe file. Once loaded it adds new commands to Rhino's existing commands and a new submenu called "SATImport" to the Rhino menu containing these newly added commands.

Wow, how deceiving 2/4/2012 by 'Mike' from Mike
Upon typing SATImport into the command line, it brings up a prompt asking for a key. Then there's a line that says 'you can instantly obtain a free trial key by clicking on the request key button.' Last time I checked, $19.99 was not free. That's not to mention how extremely overpriced your plug-in is. $250? Come on, I paid $150 for the program. This whole thing was so infuriating that it pushed me to write this review to tell you how bad you sucked.

and you won't know that it costs $200 until you install it. 2/24/2011 by 'alex' from alex
if someone sees a plugin for rhino, typically they'll assume it's free. because it's a plugin. for rhino. installing it, having it rearrange your menus and then telling you it costs as much as an educational version of rhino is disappointing at best and infuriating at least- and about the least effective way I can think of to get someone to buy your software.
